Media Mountain & Swatch – Shoot My Ride
Media Mountain, a media agency that sells advertising space on and around the European slopes, partnered with yoMedia in setting up the Shoot My Ride campaign, sponsored by Swatch. yoMedia supplied Media Mountain with all the back-end technology for this initiative. In the clip below you can see just how much work this was. We didn’t only have to build a bespoke server structure but also had to compete with the elements from time to time (quiz question: what do you do with a server on the slopes: a) do you wrap it because you don’t want the server to cool down too much or b) do you cool it because the sun shines all day and you don’t want the server to overheat?). That’s one of many issues we had to deal with in setting up this project. But it all paid off, Media Mountain won the award for Best Out-of-home Media Owner for the Shoot My Ride campaign. And we’re a bit proud of that too!
After the first succesful winter season Media Mountain decided to extend the Shoot My Ride campaign to last summer. So the snowboarders made room for some brave BMX’ers and all there stunts were recorded too. Meanwhile the campaign is having it’s second season and things are going great so far.
