After the success of the Juize FM Drop Your Demo competition, another Dutch radio station, Radio 538, decided to use yoMedia’s back-end technology as well and roll out its own Demo Duel competition. Just like Drop Your Demo, Radio 538 listeners could upload their own demo, vote for someone else’s demo and comment on tracks. The winner of the Demo Duel earned a record deal.

The Dutch tv station EO organize a yearly event for youngsters, called the EO Jongerendag. This is a big event with bands and other live acts in the Gelredome, a big Dutch football stadium. For the EO Jongerendag 2008 and 2009 yoMedia built an application that visitors could use to share their mobile photos with the whole audience by sending them to a dedicated shortcode that was connected to a back-end that projected the photos on the big screens hanging in the stadium. The development of the complete system was done in collaboration with The Saints.

JuizeFM, a Dutch Hiphop and R&B radio station, partnered with yoMedia in setting up the “Drop Your Demo” competition. In the Drop Your Demo competition listeners could upload their own demo and on the website listeners could vote for their favourite track in multiple rounds. During the competition JuizeFM played the demos of the competitors. The eventual winner of the competition earned a record deal.

yoMedia built the complete back-end technology of the Drop Your Demo website. Through yoMedia’s technology listeners could upload their own demo, vote for someone else’s demo and comment on tracks. Due to the success of the Drop Your Demo competition another radio station, Radio 538, decided to set up a similar competition, 538 Demo Duel.
